Nara Baby's official FAQ now lists two paid options in the US: $9.99 a month or $99.99 for lifetime access.1 If you do not subscribe, you can still view and export the information already in your account, but you cannot add new tracking.
That leaves families with a decision, and not much appetite for starting over. A baby tracker may look like a collection of rows, but those rows are the 2 AM bottles, short naps, pumping sessions, and diaper changes that got you through the last few months.
You can bring that history to nappi.
How to export your data from Nara Baby
In Nara Baby:
- Open the Activity screen.
- Tap the avatar icon next to your child's name.
- Choose Export Data.
- Save the original CSV file somewhere you can find it again.
Do not open and resave the file in a spreadsheet first. Date formats, time zones, and long activity identifiers can change quietly. The untouched export gives the importer the clearest version of your history.
How to import the CSV into nappi
Open nappi's importer, sign in, and choose the child who should receive the entries. Upload the Nara Baby CSV, then review the preview before anything is written.
The Nara importer understands sleep, bottles, nursing, combo feeds, solids, pumping, diapers, growth, medication and temperature entries, and routines. It uses Nara's timestamps and each row's time zone when parsing, converts supported units, and separates mixed records when nappi stores them as distinct entries.
Large histories are imported in paced batches. That is slower than sending every row at once, but it protects the database and makes a several-thousand-entry migration much less likely to fail halfway through.
When the preview looks right, confirm the import. Keep the original CSV as your backup.
What stays free in nappi
Everyday tracking remains available on nappi's free plan. That includes logging on your phone, your full history, family sync, the weekly digest, and CSV export.

Before you leave Nara Baby
Give yourself ten minutes for a final check:
- Export a fresh CSV after your last Nara entry.
- Keep that file somewhere outside either app.
- Import it into the correct child in nappi.
- Compare a recent sleep, feed, and diaper entry in both apps.
- Invite your partner or caregiver only after the history looks right.
If something in the preview looks wrong, stop there. Do not confirm the import and then fix hundreds of entries by hand. Keep the original file and contact us so we can inspect the format without changing your data.
Switching trackers is already an interruption. Losing the record of how you got here should not be part of it.
